It depends a bit what your requirements are in terms of hosting. Thus:
1) What shopping card system are you using? E.g. “Magento” has special requirements which not all hosting companies cater for.
2) Where are your customers? (relevant for IP locations, DNS handling, etc)
3) Server location (can be relevant in terms legal requirements).
4) Security features required (SSL, etc).
5) The size of your e-commerce website.
6) Backup intervals
7) Your budget and expertise.
8 ) And last but by no means least, the amount of traffic that you expect to generate on your e-commerce website.
All the above factors, play a crucial role in selecting the right hosting partner and will determine which one would be “the best” with regards to your requirements.
