The first album of South Africa’s new singing sensation, Bulelwa “Zahara” Mkutukana, was sold out in only 72 hours. Three month later, over 350.000 copies have been sold and millions are said to have been traided illegally on the streets. Her style and voice bring back memories on the late “Mama Africa”. Thus the question should be allowed, does Zahara qualify for comparison to South Africa’s biggest music legend Miriam Makeba?
