We recently did a bicycle tour through Alexandra. It was a great experience and a real history lesson. Did you e.g. know that Nelson Mandela has also had a home in Alex? You learn alot about Apartheid and yet get a real feel for the contemporary South Africa..! I can recommend you “Mulaudzi Tours” on http://www.alexandratours.co.za !
Mamelodi! Lots of fun hang out spots around as well as several Jazz Fastivals every year…!

LikeDislikeThe two are difficult to compare as Mamelodi appears more as a suburb of Pretoria and Alex more as the Slum of Johannesburg!
